Nestled on Langkawi’s east coast, Kilim Karst Geoforest Park is a UNESCO Global Geopark renowned for its awe-inspiring limestone karsts, emerald mangroves, and hidden caves. The park’s dramatic landscape towering rock formations, winding rivers, and tranquil estuaries creates a sanctuary for wildlife like brahminy kites, macaques, and otters. Visitors can explore via boat cruises, kayak through mangrove tunnels, or trek to ancient caves adorned with stalactites. History


Designated a UNESCO site in 2007, the park’s karsts and mangroves formed over millennia through tectonic shifts and erosion. These formations served as natural shelters for early settlers and traders. Today, it stands as a protected testament to Earth’s dynamic history, with fossils and rock layers revealing prehistoric secrets.


Operation Hours


The park is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Guided boat tours typically operate between 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM; confirm timings with local operators like Dev’s Adventure Tours or Langkawi Coral.


Directions from Dayang Bay Resort


Head east on Jalan Pantai Timur for 20 km (25-minute drive) to Kilim Jetty. The resort arranges boat transfers, or join tours departing directly from the jetty.
